Kevin and Linda Kirby serve as church planters of Sovereign Grace Community Church (SGCC), a new church plant formally launched in 2010 in Petaluma, California.
Pastor Kevin is a native of Kansas City, Missouri, but has lived in Northern California for most of his life.
He graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in 1974 and is a graduate of California Baptist College (B.A. in History and English, ’78) and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div., ’81).
He has been in pastoral ministry for over 30 years, serving as a chaplain for Hospice of Petaluma for 10 years.
He is also a member of the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors, an adjunct professor at The Master’s College, and the Director of the Biblical Counseling Center of Sonoma County.
Linda is a native of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, and is also a graduate of Cal Baptist College (B.S. in Biology ’78). They have been married for over 34 years and have lived in Petaluma since 1983.
The Kirby’s have four adult children: Kristopher, Scott, Matthew and Kimberly.
