The Lord gives us the privilege of seeking Him. In Hebrews we learned that faith involves believing that God exists, AND that “he rewards those who seek Him.” COME share in the reward by seeking Him in prayer. Sunday evening, April 28th at 7pm we will gather for our fourth prayer service of 2019. There is so much happening in our congregation and in our nation that needs to be bathed in prayer.
Our Lord commands us to pray: “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.’ 1 Timothy 2:1–2
Our Lord teaches us to pray: “And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.” Luke 18:1
Our Lord undergirds the call to prayer with His promises: “…do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:6-7
