We will be in Scotts Valley for our All-Church Retreat during the first weekend of June. Pastor Doug Thompson will teach on our theme: “Bringing Back Our First Love: rekindling love for Jesus by looking at His humanity.”
About our speaker, Doug Thompson:
Doug graduated from Los Angeles Baptist College, now The Master’s University, in 1982 and went on to study at Talbot Seminary and Whitefield Theological Seminary. He was Director of Counseling at the Grace To You ministry with Dr. John MacArthur. After 7 years as the founding pastor of The Bridge Bible Fellowship in Reseda, CA, he accepted the call to pastor Middletown Bible Church where he served for over 27 years. He has trained pastors in Romania, Mexico, the Philippines, Uganda, and India and has served as a professor at the LOGOS Bible Institute, Grace School of Theology and Ministry, and The Cornerstone Seminary. He has been published in Reformation and Revival Journal. Doug and his wife Janice have been married 40 years and have four children and five grandsons. Doug is now retired and living in Idaho.
